Welcome to Thought Confetti, your one-stop platform for all things interesting!
(fires a dozen more digital confetti cannons for pizzazz)
I’m Vanessa, and I suppose we’re now officially internet friends. Henceforth, you’ll be receiving a multitude of interesting and insightful things to read and do here in this space. ‘What do you mean by interesting and insightful?’, I hear a little voice in your head echo. Well, there’re no clear definition because definitions aren’t fun.
No, I’m not saying that because it’s hard to define the seemingly random list of stuff that will be published here based on whatever’s recent (and also whatever’s not). But what I can promise is that they’ll be a mix of cool insights, things you never thought you wanted or needed to know, and activities that you can do when bored.
We may be looking at a list of enthralling tech buzzwords, embarking on a deep dive into how slime and ASMR went viral, learning applications of economic theories, laughing at ridiculously funny memes, or discussing why in the world do goats have creepy eyes (SERIOUSLY, IT'S A HARBINGER OF NIGHTMARES). Regardless of the format, I will be sharing content that strives to educate, awe, amuse, induce nods, and/or trigger thought.
I hope you’re feeling as excited as I am!
Can I also have a little shimmy from fellow Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans?
As part of the community here at Thought Confetti, I’d like to urge you to not be shy and voice out on your share of the fun/whacky/merry/entertaining things. Your comments can also inspire the next newsletter, and I promise to credit you if you’d like. ;)
Also, don’t be shy to leave any feedback or random comments, like what you imagine 2050 to be like, your favourite animal GIF, how people suddenly transformed into avid bakers and chefs amidst COVID-19, or how irritating it is to peel off that tiny sticker on fruits. There’s always room for chatter in this fun space. :)
Meanwhile, if you can’t wait for the next newsletter, simply hop on the archive bus and keep scrolling. If you’re hooked (or even semi-hooked) and feel like a fellow friend will enjoy this newsletter, please do share it with them!
